Experienced Bookkeeper

888 is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join a large international public firm, a leader in its field, as part of the finance team.

At 888 you will enjoy a hybrid work model, combining in-office work with remote work (work from home) during the week.

As an Experienced Bookkeeper you will be responsible for:

  • Oversight and control of Accounts Payable activity, including relevant AP & general ledgers, payments, and bank reconciliations
  • Manage relationships with local banks
  • Manage and control local petty cash, corporate credit cards, travel, and vehicles system
  • Preparation of mandatory reports to local authorities (income tax, VAT)
  • Ensuring that relevant local accounting procedures are in place and fully documented
  • Continuous reviewing of current work processes to identify and implement improvements
  • Support Finance management at all locations as and when required

 This job is for you only if you have:

  • At least 5 years or more of proven experience as a bookkeeper
  • Professional experience from an international /global company
  • Highly proficient in Excel
  • High level of English communication skills (writing, reading, and speech)
  • Experienced with accounting systems and ERP systems
  • Experienced working with overseas vendors and customers
  • Assertive, responsible, able to work as part of a team and to provide services to both internal and external customers
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels and to gain others commitment
  • Ability to work unsupervised, under pressure in a changing environment
  • Time management and workload efficiency skills
