Backend Team Leader

888 is looking for an Experienced, highly motivated Services team leader to work in online gaming on the platform backend.

As an Experienced Services Team Leader you will manage a team in Israel (5 developers) as well as an offshore team (team leader + 5 developers) and be responsible for the services domain.

You will be working on the world’s leading bingo network, providing bingo software to some of the biggest names in bingo worldwide (or as we call them, “our partners”).

The Bingo platform combining engaging and dynamic game content together with our advanced features and experience of building strong social and community features. 

Our Bingo platform is built as an open and modular platform fully customizable, where the partners can enjoy our top of the edge technology solutions and services or choose to utilize the different modular components and offerings and integrate them into their sites.

 Our services are based on .NET / .Net Core , using WCF.

We are using SQL server, Elasticsearch and firebase, as well as Redis in memory grid and using MQ & IIB for asynchronous communication.

In this position you will be responsible for leading the development ensuring compliance with performance and availability metrics to support business objectives.

At 888 you will enjoy a hybrid work model, combining in-office work with remote work (work from home) during the week.


As a backend Team Leader at 888, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing & leading the Services team(Both inshore & Offshore).
  • Participate in the entire development life cycle, from requirements, design, coding, deployment to rollout.
  • Work closely with product managers, System analysts and testers in a highly collaborative team environment.
  • Deliver secure, high performance, maintainable code using best practices.
  • Ensure all development work is carried out with a consistently of high-level quality.
  • Support team members in technological challenges
  • Monitoring and performance tuning
  • Research and evaluate alternative solutions to resolve issues and recommend the most cost effective solutions.
  • Maintains appropriate level system documentation.
  • 24x7 production support (production incidents)

 

 This job is for you only if you have:

  • At least 3 years’ experience managing a backend development team
  • 5+ years hands-on .NET development experience
  • NHibernate/Entity framework
  • Deep knowledge of OOP and Design Patterns
  • In-depth understanding of client/server applications
  • Experience in working on web-based systems
  • Experience writing unit and integration tests
  • Experience building high performance applications & monitoring with high data volumes
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with frequent production releases
  • Provide quality products that meet code standards 
  • Ability to work effectively with clients (QA/Product/Project and Integration teams)
  • Working within a high-paced agile environment with frequent production releases.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Self-learning ability
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Responsibility and high working moral.

You might also have:

  • Basic knowledge in JAVA development
  • Using TDD methodology
  • Familiarity with Agile Methodologies
  • BA in Computer Science or equivalent training and experience
  • Cloud experience
